How to use ClockArena
- Choose the relevant domains. Select the domain most relevant to your study from the Leaderboard’s side menu. If you need to consider several domains, use Overall ranking and select the ones you want to include. Their ranks contribute equally.
- Match your cohort. Open Filters and select the sex and age range of the people in your cohort. For example, for a cohort of women aged 40–70, select Females and set the age range to 40–70. These settings apply across all selected domains in Overall ranking.
- Choose the country and sampling interval. If available, select the country where your cohort was measured to filter geographic generalizability. For within-person reliability, choose a sampling interval similar to the time between measurements in your study. Each filter affects only its corresponding domain.
- Select a disease or intervention, if relevant. To compare clocks for age acceleration associated with a specific disease, choose it under disease discrimination. For a specific intervention or exposure, use the intervention filter under responsiveness.
- Set acceptable thresholds. In Overall ranking, optionally choose a minimum age-prediction R², a maximum age-prediction mean absolute error (MAE), or a maximum reliability mean absolute deviation (MAD). Clocks must score above the R² cutoff and below the MAE or MAD cutoffs. MAE and MAD are in years; leave a threshold unrestricted if you do not need it.
- Compare and export. Use Select clocks to choose the models shown and compare their scores in the graph. Narrow filters may leave limited or no benchmark data. Open Export to download the current results or chart; Reset filters restores the default filter settings.
